Peak Hosting Announces Partnership with Crowdfunder
Peak Hosting announced it will partner with Crowdfunder’s CrowdStartLA Startup Competition as a sponsor awarding a $12,000 free hosting services credit.
Peak Hosting, the industry leader in Operations-as-a-Service employed in dedicated, managed hosting services, and hybrid cloud computing, today announced the company will act as a sponsor for Crowdfunder.com’s CrowdStartLA startup competition.
Crowdfunder is a business crowdfunding platform that will enable U.S. startups and small businesses to raise funds through public offerings of equity, debt and revenue based securities sold to individual investors. With the launch of its site last week they had nearly 2,000 companies apply to raise funds with the site and over $17 million pledged to invest by crowdfunders signed up on the platform.
Their beta launch is actually a series of contests to be held in cities across the US, in which local startups and small businesses will compete for funding from judging panels of high-profile accredited investors. CrowdStartLA, the first contest, is now open to submissions from startups, wh will compete to win a $25,000 prize that will be awarded in July. Similar events in Las Vegas, Silicon Valley, and New York City are on the horizon.

Besides the $25,000 pledged from Rightside Capital Management, a number of other great prizes will be provided by other companies such as LaunchPadLA, Producteev, FreshDesk and others. Peak Hosting will award the the top 10 finalists a spot in the Peak Hosting Startup Act program which provides a $1,000 per month credit for 12 months of services from Peak Hosting.
