Peak Hosting Selects A10 Networks AX Series for Multi-tenant Application Delivery

Peak Hosting, the industry leader in dedicated, managed hosting services and private cloud computing, today announced it selected A10 Networks’ AX Series Application Delivery Controllers for high-performance multi-tenant application delivery and server load balancing.

Peak Hosting evaluated A10′s AX Series alongside the latest load balancing offerings from F5 and others. After testing and a detailed comparison of functionality and scalability to separate real-world operations from marketing hyperbole, the company concluded that the AXs provided the most scalable and complete multi-tenancy solution at cost points no other vendor could provide.

“As a Managed Hosting provider, we are excited about multi-tenancy as it offers customers the ability to manage their load balancing and application delivery needs directly,” said Jeffrey Papen, CEO at Peak Hosting. “After evaluating competing platforms, no solution could match A10 Networks’ value, which sets the bar with 128 high performance ADC instances and over four million Layer 4 connections per second per unit. Coupled with the ability to centrally manage and scale a cluster of up to eight units as we need them with a Virtual Chassis (aVCS) configuration, no vendor can match the flexibility, performance, savings and peace of mind that A10 Networks provides.”

“A10′s AX Series Application Delivery Controllers allow our customers the unique ability to drive their own application delivery configurations, which greatly reduce our Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) as our engineers do not have to spend time on simple customer issues, such as taking servers in and out of service, adjusting VIP settings and more,” said Papen.

AX Series delivers industry leading price/performance by leveraging A10′s 64-bit Advanced Core OS (ACOS). AX Series appliances offer superior reliability, high performance and an energy efficient footprint for lower total cost of ownership (TCO). The AX Series has a comprehensive Layer 4-7 feature set and flexible virtualization technologies such as Virtual Chassis System (aVCS), multi-tenancy and more. In addition, the AX Series leads in IPv6 Migration technologies (Large Scale NAT, DS-Lite, NAT64/DNS64 and more) with many large scale deployments worldwide.

“We are pleased to deliver Peak Hosting a scalable Application Delivery platform with high-performance multi-tenancy in compact form factors,” said Lee Chen, Founder and CEO for A10 Networks. “Hosting and Cloud Providers are increasingly choosing A10 over incumbents due to the AX Series’ rich feature set, flexibility, performance and overall value as we continue to reduce the cost per connection and increase efficiency with data center consolidation.”

Every relationship starts with figuring out if you are compatible.

We are meant for each other if you:

  • Currently spend over $1000 per month on your network infrastructure and support
  • Wish your current provider would do more, but don’t want to take it in-house yet?
  • Fundamentally depend in your operations & datacenter infrastructure?
    If not, call Go Daddy.
  • Think running an operations department is a good use of your time? If so, the phone number for Equinix is 650-598-6000
